Woodford County Chamber of Commerce Red Tie Gala & Annual Awards 2019

This annual event is a gathering to celebrate the year and our member businesses with the Chamber's annual awards.  A special thank you to our sponsors:

The Business Impact Award is presented to the Woodford County Chamber member who has made or will make a major economic impact in Woodford County.

Congratulations to Lake Shore Learning Materials who has, and will continue to have, great economic impact in Midway and Woodford County! This business has grown from it's first brick-and-mortar store to a leading developer and retailer of top-quality educational materials for early childhood programs. They initially employed 262 individuals, and with the planned additional building, they will add another 100 employees.

The Member of the Year Award is presented to the Woodford County Chamber member who has contributed greatly to Woodford County.

Congratulations to Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance, Woodford County who is the largest insurance provider in Woodford County. While they take great pride in the insurance services they bring to their clients, they also take great pride in being a part of this community. Courtney & Austin contribute to the success of numerous events held annually through volunteering, sponsoring, promoting, & serving.

The Tourism Achievement Award is presented to a tourist attraction for their contribution as a local asset and their success in promoting tourism.

Congratulations to Eckert's Orchard who has become a major tourist attraction, and has brought over 25,000 visitors to their location from inside and outside of Woodford County. Children of all ages and adults are welcome to visit the sprawling farm for some country-style good old-fashioned fun. While there, you can pick-your-own crops straight from the field, shop at their country store and participate in a range of fun outdoor activities.

The New Business of the Year Award is presented to a Chamber member who has been in business for at least 6 months, no longer than 18 months and has experienced noteworthy growth and success.

Congratulations to Spotz Gelato who has provided residents and visitors of Woodford County the opportunity to enjoy award-winning gelato handmade with ingredients from real Kentucky farmers. They are a certified Kentucky Proud business and we are proud of the warm, welcoming atmosphere their business has provided to our downtown community.

The Legacy Award is presented to the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce member who has been a member of the Chamber for a minimum of 10 years and has had continued impact on the community.

Congratulations to Jack Kain, of Jack Kain Ford. This individual has been a long-time member of the Chamber and has always been one of the Chamber’s major supporters. He has always been a major supporter to many organizations in Woodford County including the Woodford County School system and various nonprofit organizations. His philanthropy has helped countless other organizations throughout Woodford County and the State.

We were, also, excited to have the Woodford County Cooperative Extension Service present the 2019 Agriculture Awards at The Red Tie Gala. Congratulations to the winners!
