WOODFORD COUNTY CHAMBER LAUNCHES “ADOPT A SKELETON” PROMOTION WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES
Woodford County, KY [October 2025] – The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce is bringing a little fun—and a lot of bones—to Main Street and beyond this October with the return of the Adopt a Skeleton promotion. Local businesses across Woodford County have joined the “Woodford Skeleton Crew,” adopting skeletons to decorate, dress up, and showcase throughout the spooky season.
Each participating business has given their skeleton a name and personality, turning them into quirky members of their team. Throughout the month of October, residents and visitors can follow the Skeleton Crew as they appear in storefronts, offices, and on social media—serving as a playful way to highlight the unique character of Woodford County’s businesses.
“This promotion is about bringing our community together in a fun, lighthearted way,” said Emily Downey, President and CEO of the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce. “Not only do the skeletons create seasonal excitement, they also give our businesses a creative opportunity to connect with customers and introduce themselves to new audiences.”
Community members are encouraged to follow along on social media using #WoodfordSkeletonCrew to see where the skeletons pop up and to support the businesses behind them. From costumes and props to business tie-ins, the Skeleton Crew promises plenty of surprises throughout October.
The Adopt a Skeleton initiative is part of the Chamber’s ongoing mission to support local businesses while also creating memorable community traditions that bring people together.
